Our internal talent mobility program is intended to facilitate effective hiring from within, as appropriate, to fill open opportunities in the company.Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability:Responsible for the control of all aspects relating to the Plaza stock room:Responsible for the Receiving of all material into stock, plus all the necessary computer transactions relating to these receipts, and issues.Opens and verifies the contents to the packing slip, Purchase Order and engineering database. Ensures parts meet engineering criteria, including having proper regulatory markings as per engineering database when parts are denoted as “safety critical”Upon initial receipt of new part, checks engineering database for “safety critical” parts. Updates materials database to proper prime stockroom if necessaryAdvises Materials Manager and appropriate buyer should parts not comply with engineering database so as to initiate return of material to vendor.Responsible for putting received stock away properly marked, noting special handling of Safety Critical parts.Responsible for all incoming inspection dutiesExamine material for physical defects.Measure parts to verify accuracy of dimensions.Inspect items that have been flagged with quality issues, by inspecting to specific instructionsExamine metal work/raw material and compare to Ross Video specificationsReject faulty material, and record type and quantity of defects into the NCMR tool, adhering to the NCMR process.Report monthly on defect rates by supplierResponsible for inventory transactionsReceive pick list from queue and kit parts specific to a work order from the stockroom according to the Manufacturing Work Instructions.Prepare components for WIP by counting, labelling and dividing into the proper areas.Use MAX to view inventory, check shortages, access kit lists, etc.Use and follow the Manufacturing Execution System documentation and routing practices.Cycle Counts and inventory control:Verify and be able to read values on partsFill allocations when shortages arrive; count, deliver and pass through routing in MES when work order shortage is free.Complete requests from the Ottawa lab for parts & complete sales orders for all RM stock ID’s.Transact all RMA activity through MAXMaintain ESD practices.Perform other related duties as required.Job Requirements:Knowledge/Education/Training:Overall good computer skillsStrong knowledge of MS Word and Excel; Access is an assetExperience with an MIS system such as MAX or similar database is an assetTraits:Organized and very detail orientatedExcellent communication skills and good telephone mannerTeam player but able to work independentlyAbility to effectively function in a fast-paced environmentExperience:Minimum 2 years manufacturing backgroundPhysical Demands:Able to lift up to 50 lbs and open boxes (for receiving)Work Environment:Individual work stations in manufacturing environmentModerate noiseIN A NUTSHELLInterested in any of our current open roles Apply now or speak to a member of the HR team if you require further information.Other detailsRequired Education Equivalent Experience
