Come and be a part of this success.The Jansen project has opted to adopt an integrated project team (IPT) delivery model to execute the mining scope. As the mining scope is on the critical path, an IPT model supports the sequential nature of mining tasks while ensuring seamless interfaces with the rest of the Jansen project. Through an IPT, shared accountability between BHP and HBJV is fostered, trusting that the best person is selected for each role as the team works towards safely delivering the mining scope on time, on budget, and with high quality. This team will strive for effective work planning, rapid and empowered decision-making, and continuous improvement through a joint construction and operational mindset. Through an IPT, BHP and HBJV leadership hope to expose the team to new perspectives, ways of working, and long-term career progression opportunities.PurposeThe Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure maintenance services related to equipment are effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered on time. They develop and communicate the plans and schedules for an Operation / Operation area in accordance with the 1SAP Work Management processes. They will develop and manage a rough cut schedule and keep a schedule of required maintenance and work orders for the Mining IPT scope, ensuring maintenance requirements and deadlines are met. They will make decisions as needed to coordinate and prioritize equipment maintenance with the contractors and provide a central source of information concerning maintenance work across the organization.About the Role

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Coordinates maintenance requirements for the mine and associated contractors
  • Develops, verifies and Plan work orders so tasks can be scheduled based on requirements and priorities
  • Progresses Approved Planning type notifications into the Work order state for planned corrective type work.
  • Performs job walk downs, risk evaluations, develop task sequencing, capture pertinent details, understand resource and material requirements and build these details into the associated Work Orders.
  • Ensures stakeholders are adhering to and exhibiting Jansen core values
  • Ensure Planning compliance to the 1SAP Work Management processes.
  • Participate in the weekly Pre-Scheduling, Final Scheduling and the Resource Levelling Meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to production or other operational plans.
  • Build and communicate accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all work management activities, ensuring that they are adequately resource levelled and aligned to the corresponding 12 week planning window.
  • Request and govern work management master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews, failure analysis and identified quality errors.
  • Develop secondary task lists for relevant reoccurring work to support effective planning and safe execution.
  • Review work management process compliance across sub functions and engage relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to make judgments based on practice and previous experience.
  • Ability to assess the validity and applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances that are not covered by procedures.
  • Material risk and critical control ownership.
About You
  • A recognized qualifications or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in a large industrial environment
  • Experience with SAPFiori
  • Strong understanding of quality management processes and systems, ISO standards and auditing processes related to major project delivery or program management
  • Working knowledge of engineering, contracts & procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, health & safety, environment & community and risk multi-discipline workflows and interactions for large capital projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  • High attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes.
  • Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment utilizing agile methodologies
  • Self-reliant contributor with distinctive proficiency in the Maintenance / Work Management Planning area
  • Detailed knowledge of procedures in own functional area and limited knowledge of other functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including functional managers and discipline leads on the project, clients, outside vendors and contractors
  • Demonstrated strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis training
  • Demonstrated leadership/ management experience
  • Ability to effectively work with and lead the larger team to drive continuous improvement on the project
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment for their team while grounding to the Jansen core values
