As the mining scope is on the critical path, an IPT model supports the sequential nature of mining tasks while ensuring seamless interfaces with the rest of the Jansen project. Through an IPT, shared accountability between BHP and HBJV is fostered, trusting that the best person is selected for each role as the team works towards safely delivering the mining scope on time, on budget, and with high quality. This team will strive for effective work planning, rapid and empowered decision-making, and continuous improvement through a joint construction and operational mindset. Through an IPT, BHP and HBJV leadership hope to expose the team to new perspectives, ways of working, and long-term career progression opportunitiesPurposeThe Maintenance Scheduler will review “planned” work orders and schedule the work based on known priorities, available work group capacities and critical path requirements to allow for efficient sequencingscheduling, assigning the execution of maintenance work to the person, on the day, to the hour for all Mining IPT assets. They will maintain the overall schedule during the project cycle, incorporating and monitoring contractor progress. They will work closely with Project Controls schedulers to incorporate the maintenance requirements and work orders into the execution schedule. This role will serve as the central source of information regarding all maintenance-related schedule requirements across the mining scopeAbout the RoleDecides on what teams have access to the Shared Resources (both equipment and personnel).Decides on what work is scheduled within weekly work schedules and who that work is scheduled to for completion.Consulted on (pertaining to the Maintenance scope):On overall Integratedoperations schedule changes, ensuring the Maintenance schedule is adjust to reflect.On available capacity for scheduling work in upcoming weekly schedules.Supervision ReceivedDirect, day-to-day supervision and oversight from the Maintenance SuperintendentSupervision ExercisedNo direct reportsACCOUNTABILITIESDevelops and coordinates the maintenance schedule for all mining assets, both company and contractor ownedWorks closely with the contractor to align maintenance and productive time to maximize construction while ensuring equipment is maintained per OEM requirementsWorks closely with the maintenance planner to understand priorities and work ordersAligns with Project Controls to have the maintenance schedule incorporated into the execution schedule, hence helping to produce the overall integrated schedule.Ensures they are adhering to and exhibiting Jansen core valuesCreates and distributes the weekly schedule Pre-Read.Schedules RISK CCV work orders.Facilitates the 3 weekly Scheduling meetings (Tuesday Resource Levelling Meeting, Tuesday Pre-Scheduling meeting and Thursday Final Scheduling meeting).Utilize the SAP WMS (Work Management Scheduler) tool for assigning work to the person, to the day to the hour.Ensures the 1SAP master data is accurate prior to scheduling.Reviews past dated work orders and informs responsible stakeholders to action – governance action.Posts the weekly schedules in the working areas of the work teams.Confirm 3rd party contractors are aware and agree to their work commitments as scheduled.Participate in and, at times, lead the Work Management Process audits.Schedules BHP Fleet Vehicle Maintenance with service vendors.Confirms that each work team is capacity loaded to the BHP minimum target of 80% each week prior to locking in weekly schedule.Work closely with other schedulers to identify and rectify scheduling conflicts within and between working groups.Manages and coordinates RISK Critical Work with the Control and Risk Owners, provides training and understanding of the 1SAP Work Management Process and common touchpoints with the RISK SAP modules.Laisse with the MECoE (Maintenance, Engineering Center of Excellence) for SAPFiori updates, UAT testing, partake in new system and process functionality design and provide input form users perspective.Support SAP users in completing their tasks that support the scheduling process.Material risk and critical control ownership.About YouA recognized qualifications equivalent combination of education, training, or work experienceMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in scheduling maintenance operations or related industryProficient knowledge of 1SAP, Fiori and WMS specifically (Work Management Scheduler)Strong understanding of quality management processes and systems, ISO standards and auditing processes related to major project delivery or program managementWorking knowledge of engineering, contracts & procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, health & safety, environment & community and risk multi-discipline workflows and interactions for large capital projects.Proficient knowledge of MS Office & 1SAP WMSHigh attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes.Ability to operate effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment utilizing agile methodologiesDemonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts and technologiesStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including functional managers and discipline leads on the project, clients, outside vendors and contractorsDemonstrated leadership/ management experienceAbility to effectively work with and lead the larger team to drive continuous improvement on the projectAbility to foster an inclusive environment for their team while grounding to the Jansen core valuesSupporting a Diverse WorkforceThe size and magnitude of our business not only provides significant opportunity for professional development, but also attractive salary packages with performance based bonuses and unique BHP employee share program.At BHP, we recognise that we are strengthened by diversity.
