Job Description

Quality Control Lead/InspectorKDM Constructors is a Saskatchewan-based general contracting, project management, and skilled trades service provider. KDM Constructors is majority-owned by Kawacatoose First Nation, Day Star First Nation, and Muskowekwan First Nation. Our company is able to reinforce the trusted relationships individually built by each community to progress forward as a collective.PositionReporting to Site Manager, you will be responsible for multi trade quality control functions along with the detailed document control.This position is located at BHR Jansen (Leroy), accommodations provided, and requires a shift of 5 on and 2 off with potential of change to accommodate the proper candidate if required.Job Duties

  • Responsible for quality Control and Client interface
  • Prepare scope specific ITP in line with client requirements
  • Submit all documentation & certifications for review and approval based on client VDR
  • Prepare turnover package and maintain progressive turnover through the project
  • Prepare inspection forms as identified in ITP
  • Work directly with construction supervisors to complete field inspections alongside the client
  • Prepare and submit TQ’s
  • Maintain TQ and Inspection Logs
  • Collect packing slips from delivered materials and complete material receiving reports
  • Prepare Redline / As-built drawings
  • Maintain weld log with Welding Certifications
  • Prepare client deliverables and reports weekly
  • Attend progress meetings as required by the project manager
  • Document Turnover
  • Commissioning assistance for hand over requirements
  • Complete “AS Built” drawings as required
  • Generate NCR’s when required and identify corrective actions for continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in quality control
  • Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing, and priority setting
skills combined with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to think critically and make independent decisions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the English language
  • Excellent Word, Excel Bluebeam proficiency is required
  • Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative and be a team player
  • Aconex and SharePoint and SPO experience is an asset
  • CWB Level 1
  • Experience in multi trade functions – Civil, Piping, E&I
  • Computer literacy is a must have
  • Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required.
