Job Description

Reports ToLift and Building Maintenance SupervisorSummaryThis is a full-time, year-round role.The BMT works as part of the Lift and Building Maintenance team. They are responsible for new construction and regular upkeep of buildings including plumbing systems. Also, installation and removal of banners, signs and related event items and assisting with snow and ice removal when required. They are also responsible for maintaining the Vacusan Sewage System and infrastructure in all washroom facilities. They must also conduct daily inspections and timely completion of paperwork.Core Competencies

  • Must possess a valid Alberta drivers license and provide a satisfactory drivers abstract
  • Alberta trades qualification papers or equivalent work experience
  • Self motivated
  • Must work with grey water/sewage (Hepatitis A/B shots provided)
Job Duties
  • Maintain plumbing, painting, drywall, entryways, flooring
  • Knowledge of company policies and safe work practices
  • Knowledge of WHMIS and other WCB policies relating to personal safety
  • Ensure proper and timely completion of all pertinent paperwork
  • Work professionally with the public and other departments at all times and maintains a safe work environment for guests and staff
  • New construction / framing / renovations, and additions to trailers, buildings and chalets as required
  • Responsible for installation and removal of banners, signs and related event items and maintenance & upkeep of panorama sign boards and resort signage
  • Assist with removal of snow & ice from building roofs as required
  • Maintain Vacusan sewage systems and toilets in Chalets – repair and trouble shoot as required including clearing of clogged toilets and lines
  • Conduct daily inspections of Chalets and buildings
  • Maintain potable water system infrastructure / take water samples as required and maintain chlorine levels in drinking water / monitor and maintain water flow
  • Assist other departments when practical (snowmobile support, equipment set-up)
  • Handling and transporting propane cylinders
  • Lighting furnaces and heaters in buildings and lift huts
