What will you do in this job:Guest Experience Agents provide an upbeat, professional service that goes above and beyond our guests’ expectations. You will come across thousands of guests a day from all over the world, so being up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts and promotions is key. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position. This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that your working week will vary.This is a multi-faceted position and can include any, or all, of the following:

• Providing guests with a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC)
• Providing guests with screening questions before entering the building
• Educating guests on the Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process
• Providing guests information on the local area
• Assisting with tour group check-in, and coordinating with dispatch for logistical changes to orders
• Ticket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk
• Loading & coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers
• Assisting with parking and directing flow of traffic within the parking lots.
• Operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency, the responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms
• Communicate with co-workers and management, forward observations and comments in a timely fashion
• Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees
• Other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need for this job:

• Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
• Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
• Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset
• Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
• Ability to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitude
• Second language is an asset
• Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
• Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills an asset
• Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
• Be prepare for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
• Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards

• Standard First-Aid or higher an asset

What will your work environment be like:This fun, summer job runs from April 21 or June 9 until September 6 or October 10, 2022.
