FRONT OFFICE MANAGERPOSITION SUMMARYThe Front Office Manager at the Jasper Inn & Suites will oversee the Front Desk operations٫ act as our companys customer facing manager and ensure our visitors are properly welcomed. Your duties will also include coordination of all front desk activities. The successful candidate will possess a pleasant personality together with a dynamic professional attitude to supervise and lead our Front Desk team. You should also be able to deal efficiently with complaints and have a solid customer service approach.POSITION OBJECTIVES➢ To ensure the proficient operation of the Front Desk operations➢ To ensure that the first impression for guests is diligent, professional, and welcoming➢ To ensure that the onboarding and career journey for Front Desk team members is rewarding➢ To make certain that all guest issues and complaints are dealt with in a timely, compassionate, and respectful mannerRESPONSIBILITIES➢ Recruitment, onboarding, and retention of all Front Desk staff along, creating a cohesive front desk operational team➢ Schedule front office staff and supervise workloads during shifts➢ Act as liaison between the General Manager and staff➢ Anticipate and handle any guest requests and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines➢ Ensure timely and accurate customer service➢ Issuing and tracking gift certificates and special promotions➢ Ordering and tracking applicable Marmot Basin lift tickets➢ Handle complaints and specific customers’ requests➢ Oversee the compliance with company’s policies and security requirements➢ Troubleshoot emergenciesCOMPETATANCIES➢ Business acumen and positive mindset➢ Communication/logistics management➢ Organizational effectiveness➢ Results oriented relationship builder➢ Independent but collaborative when necessaryCHARACTERISTICS➢ High energy, passionate and resilient➢ Game changer/high impact team player/unfazed by change or adversity➢ Humble and good sense of humour➢ Executive maturity, professionalism, and presence➢ Smart, courageous, leaderREQUIRMENTS➢ Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills➢ Proactive work style➢ Profound experience in customer service٫ office management and basic bookkeeping procedures➢ Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on the property’s occupancy➢ 2+ years’ experience in a manager role, working as a Front Desk Manager or Reception Manager position would be an asset.➢ Working knowledge of hotel PMS systems, Microsoft excel, Outlook and Word➢ Post-secondary education in business, sales or hospitality an assetWHO WE ARE:We are a family of independent hotels.
