What will you do in this job:The Housekeeping Training Manager is responsible for executing all training programs and onboarding for the Housekeeping Department across our seven lodging properties in Jasper:
  • Responsible for the development and execution of training programs for a team of 130 (peak season) Housekeeping Team Members across seven hotels in Jasper
  • Maintain, update & execute plans for in-house and/or virtual training focused on quality, service and productivity standards
  • Create and maintain a positive, team-oriented working environment that focuses on motivation, open communication, and continuous improvement
  • Responsible for ensuring all team members have property Health & Safety and WHMIS training, and maintaining of training records
  • Ensures all housekeeping team members are thoroughly familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures, and is in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur
  • Collaborates with the Learning and Retention Manager to facilitate Hospitality Training and other related programs
  • Lead the onboarding process for the Housekeeping Department: welcome messages to all new hires, coordination of start dates and participation in Pursuit Orientation and Safety Training
  • Frequent communication and check-ins with team members to assess morale and team-spirit, reporting any trends or issues to the Executive Housekeeper and People & Culture
  • Assist Housekeeping Supervisors and Executive Housekeeper with coaching and performance management
  • Develop, maintain and evaluate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Housekeeping Department
  • To be an active member of the Jasper Lodging Housekeeping team, supporting peers & continually working at building a cohesive team that works together effectively as “one team”
  • Conduct business with guests & team members with uncompromising integrity meeting our “Always Honest” and Pursuit collection core values
  • Assume broader training responsibilities for lodging as time allows
  • Help the team clean rooms during peak periods
  • Other duties as assigned
