What will you do in this job:

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and hospitality safety-first approach
• Perform established cleaning duties on a daily basis for all guest and team member areas including staff accommodation common areas
• Cleaning duties will include all common area floors, public and staff room washrooms, outdoor areas, windows, along with other daily cleaning assignments
• Keep emergency exits and hallways clear of debris
• Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and maintained daily
• Maintain garbage collection areas and help facilitate an effective recycling program through proper sorting and storage
• Ensure all cleaning supplies stock is adequate and well-organized
• Adhere to all WHMIS and other departmental safety requirements and supervisor on duty of any safety hazards or concerns
• Ensuring the facility grounds areas are maintained and clean throughout the operating day
• Daily rounds of the outdoor garbage bins and grounds to pick up trash and proper disposal of refuse
• Some general landscaping maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, leaf blowing and raking
• During peak hours bussing of tables may be required

• Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a more remote (yet very social) environment
• Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessary
• Helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile
• Relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls
• A keen attention to detail and lover of organized, clean spaces
• A self-starter who works well under low supervision, always looking for things to do and keeping a list of ideas for a slow day
• A handy individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty
• Confidence to safely use common lawn maintenance equipment such as lawn mower, trimmer and leaf blower
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all season weather (snow, rain, wind, hail)
• Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards

• Standard First-Aid or higher an asset
