Job Description

Adecco is currently hiring several temporary full-time Material Handlers to work for our client Celestica, a global leader in electronics manufacturing in Newmarket, ON. In this role you will be responsible for picking various parts for each product build and interface with parts specifications, inventory, and workstation specs before picking items to supply each section of the plant. Ideally you will have great communication skills and attention to detail with previous warehouse experience! Apply today for immediate consideration for this position!

  • Shifts: 3:00 PM - 11:30PM

Responsibilities:
  • Provides task leadership and technical expertise to the Kitting process.
  • Works from verbal or written instructions to build kits for production (i.e., bulk, line side stocking, point of use, line support activities) or prototype operations.
  • Includes pre-forming parts, tape and reeling of components and splitting parts per individual process steps.
  • Counts and returns all parts to warehouse after completion of work order.
  • Updates material list spreadsheets. Generates daily short lists of materials and communicates to planners, engineers and coordinators.
  • Performs periodic audits and/or cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy.
  • Completes detailed inventory transactions in appropriate systems.
  • Compiles data and generates reports as needed.
  • Operates a variety of equipment including reel counters, weigh scales, and pallet jacks
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control and shipping/receiving practices.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal customers.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reel counters, scales, and pallet jacks
  • SAP knowledge and experience is an asset
  • Cycle counting experience is an asset
