Job Description

SummaryManage a region that helps connect the building supply chain. Grow the business with existing accounts and establish new customers using consultative selling practices to educate and advance the use of MiTek Engineered Products, Software, Services and Automation. Directly manage, grow and support key corporate accounts. Work with the DSMs in the region and make consistent contact with key accounts, PRO LBMs, retailers, distributors, dealers, component manufacturers, commercial accounts, developers, builders, building officials, architects, engineers, and other building design professionals to ensure MiTek Solutions are specified, accepted, and used within the region. Regularly obtain and develop knowledge of the region, including market pricing, building trends, and product opportunities. In all business practices, be mindful of profit, expenses, and fellow MiTek team members.Job Responsibilitiesamp; RequirementsThis position will be covering the Ontario and Eastern Canada market. The ideal candidate will be in the GTA/Ontario market. Minimum 60% travel required within the region as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Represent MiTek in a professional demeanor and maintain a solid working relationship with customers.· Develop a sales plan with the Vice President of Sales with specific and measurable sales objectives that supports the overall company objectives.· Directly manage and support key corporate accounts.· Prepare for and participate in account Line Reviews and program updates.· Create business development programs with each key account that include sales programs, promotions, marketing strategies, product, and sales training to grow sales.· Profitably grow existing accounts and establish new accounts to obtain assigned sales objectives.· Work with DSMs in the region to promote and grow the business.· Manage and maintain Customer contracts and service agreements.· Provide pricing to customers via quotes, price lists, discount programs, etc.· Manage the category product performance via retail/wholesale SKU analysis, inventory management and make recommendations based on findings.· Develop and maintain a market database in Salesforce that includes the key accounts, prospects, key builders, framers, engineers and building officials within the territory.· Develop and maintain business reports in Salesforce tracking new business growth opportunities, business in jeopardy and plans to protect it and business lost to the competition.· Regularly obtain and develop knowledge of territory, distributors, dealers, component manufacturers, commercial accounts and others as required.· Contact and educate engineers and other design professionals, builders, framers and building officials within the residential and commercial markets to ensure MiTek MBP, Z4 and Hardy Frame products are specified and accepted throughout the territory.· Attend Trade Shows for customers and industry associations.· In all business practices, be mindful of profit and promote the organization as a company of people, service, and product.· Follow-up activity on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.· Work closely with other functions of the company including Customer Service, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Finance departments to ensure MiTek provides the proper products, code approvals, and services to meet annual sales objectives.· Attending training seminars as required and provided by company.· Assist with implementing communication tactics to the designated account(s), such as newsletter articles, email blasts, ad placement suggestions, P.O.P, etc.· May be asked to assist accounting department with debit/credit reconciliation.· May be asked to provide service in stores in an emergency or as directed by the VP of Sales.· Complete paperwork, i.e., expense reports, call reports, and target account reports.· Attendance during regular work hours and overtime as required.· Other duties as required.· Keep VP of Sales aware of sales conditions in the territory.SKILLSamp; ABILITIES:Education and/or Experience: 3-year degree in related field and/or combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read and write English. Strong oral and written communication skills.Mathematical Skills: Analytical and mathematical aptitude, with understanding of business metrics.Computer Skills: Computer knowledge including common MS-Office applications and Salesforce.· Possess industry related knowledge and or the ability to be trained on industry related products included but not limited to multi-family wood construction, Builders Hardware, seismic lateral solutions and other related products.· Ability to work independently and as part of team.· Ability to interact professionally with others, including co-workers, vendors and customers.· Ability to communicate with customers in person, via Microsoft Teams, phone, and email.· Ability to calculate and understand industry related units of measure, and conversions of UOM #39;s#J-18808-Ljbffr
