Position: Project Leader-Nuclear industry Location: Chalk River, ONType of Employment: 12+ month (Contract ) Roleamp; Responsibilities:· Manage the delivery of medium-risk S amp;T projects to meet schedule, cost, quality and safety objectives to the full satisfaction of customers.· Project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, through discussions with stakeholders to define the scope of the project, deliverables and timing. May lead 10-15 projects totalling $5M to $10M annually, over a 3–5-year horizon.· Secure resources through resource/functional managers to execute the project.· Manage and reports on project performance to stakeholders and management. Lead the ongoing delivery of project objectives including setting project related performance objectives, providing regular feedback and guidance to project staff. Establishes and administers project budgets and schedules and approves changes to scope of work within project management guidelines.· Manages project risk with regular review with development of mitigation strategies and escalation to Management, as required.· Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written Responsibility· Good presentation skills. Can make effective presentations to internal and external audiences, consistently at senior level levels and is savvy at using all venues of media technology in the delivery of professional presentations.· Negotiates with suppliers, contractors, and internal staff, to ensure project phases are delivered on time, within budget and at the client’s expected level of delivery/quality.· Reports on project performance to clients, management, and other stakeholders. Manages customer/client expectations and satisfaction throughout the project’s duration The Project Leader (PL), manages project performance by setting project related performance objectives and by providing regular feedback and guidance to project staff including a small team of internal, contract and consulting resources assigned to the project. The incumbent is responsible for motivating project participants to deliver quality results on time and on budget.· Occasional site visits may be required depending on the stage of the project, requiring the use of all applicable safety equipment and absolute adherence to safe work policies/practices, radiation protection policies/practices and any other safety requirements as mandated by the organization. Qualifications / Requirements:· 4-5 years progressive experience and resulting knowledge of applying 9 Project Management Areas including (Scope, Cost, Time, QA, Communications, Human Resources, Risk, Procurement, and Integration) to medium-risk projects. Experience in the delivery of a project in a regulatory framework.· Ability to nurture and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with a moderate number of stakeholders.
