Job Description

The Bold Group is currently looking to hire a full time Data Technician to join our team immediately. We offer competitive wages, benefits, company vehicle and a great team environment. We work on a wide range of projects within the commercial, industrial and residential industries.Areas of work will include, but not be limited to, the installation and servicing of:

  • CCTV
  • Access Control
  • Voice Entry
  • NSL
  • Data
  • Audio/Video
Ideal Candidate Possesses:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience pulling, terminating, and testing cat5/6 cables
  • Proficiency installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc)
  • Ability to install other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless)
  • Skilled in trouble shooting the above, with keen attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of commercial/residential CCTV, lighting control, audio, video, and access control systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of basic network configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to document network by labeling equipment and cables (recording configuration diagrams and specifications)
  • Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices
  • Proficient at reading prints & drawings
  • Must be capable of lifting at least 25kg, climbing ladders, operating lifts and booms (Working at Heights and Aerial Lift certificate required)
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
