Sturgeon Public School Division is currently recruiting a Full-Time Permanent Administrative Assistant 3 for a work assignment at Guthrie School.Guthrie School, located just minutes north of the City of Edmonton on Lancaster military base, is a facility that includes Headstart, Kindergarten and Grades 1-9, with an approximate total population of 300 students and 40 staff (professional, support and custodial). Guthrie school encourages students to be critical thinkers, engaged in their own learning environment and creative with their problem solving. We are a Reggio Emilia inspired school up to Grade 3 and the ideal candidate for this position will have experience or knowledge of that philosophy. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.FTE: 1.0 FTE; Full-Time Permanent; working 7.0 hrs/dayResponsibilities:Under the direction of the principal, the primary focus of this position is to provide office support and to perform specialized clerical functions in finance and/or program support.Duties:Liase with Central Office, Alberta Learning and other public organizationsMaintain and administer student data systemsCoordinate and maintain staff absentee and substitute teacher recordsProvide clerical/program/administrative support to school administratorsProvide reception services and relief as requiredOther duties appropriate to the classification as assigned by the principalQualifications and Experience:High School Diploma is essential. Post-Secondary Diploma or Certificate is desirable. Knowledge of Microsoft publishers, Google Suite, Website Management, Power School and PASI Systems is desirable. Energetic/enthusiastic, exceptional communication skills (verbal & written). A combination of education and experience may be considered.
