Job Summary.Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) is a global hotel company with properties located in major cities and four continents under The Langham Hotels and Resorts and Cordis Hotels and Resorts brands. It is the hospitality arm of Great Eagle Holdings, a leading property development company in Hong Kong.To deliver Hotels’ overall business objectives, including market share growth against competitors, budget achievement and brand positioning.To develop and champion a Sales Culture and Talent Pool, through a strategy focused on communication and employee engagement, with clear SOPs / standards in place to maintain focus.To regularly review all performance areas and identify best practice, weaknesses, threats and opportunities to ensure a rigorous and timely focus on driving S&M results throughout the organization is maintained.Job Responsibility:· Drive Sales & Marketing to achieve revenue budget, market share and brand positioning**· Direct supporting of DOSMs in HK & Asia Pacific to ensure a Sales & Marketing plan is being followed, focus on key results areas is maintained and .· Assist hotels & GSO’s to develop strategic account plans for key accounts and new businesses.· Actively participate & contribute in the development and execution of the group’s sales and distribution strategies.· Support channel shift and replacement strategies by property to grow direct channels.· Identify opportunities to increase RevPar for hotels to outperform the competitive set.· Work closely with hotel DOSMs to review performance of their respective property on a weekly/monthly basis; providing support and advice on tactical strategies to support sales goals.· Work closely with Revenue Management to align pricing and distribution strategies to customer needs and buying behaviour.· Achieve yearly business plan targets and other agreed initiatives.· Provide strategic direction on pricing, channel profitability and approve hotels.· Assist to develop and approve cluster/regional joint promotions & joint initiatives for all hotels.· Approve any changes to hotels’ sales organization structure.· Ensure a long term focus on Groups Pace, together with Groups selling strategies is maintained appropriate to individual hotel needs.· Maintain up to date the Sales & Marketing Planning Guide, recommending actions to hotels based on their profitability and driving an LHG S&M plan in line with the budget allowed by GMF· Support the annual Budget/Business Plan Review and lead the HSDP review process annually for non-China hotels.· Champion Sales Organization with GSO and across all functions.· Effective and successful operation of the global LHG Sales Offices in the said regions (for in-bound and out-bound business) coordinating Hotel needs and ensuring effective focus.· Achieve in building LHG hotel brands into the market and maximize LHG exposure globally.Staff Training and Development – Talent Pool and Succession Planning**· Support recruitment of DOSM’s where needed with Hotel GM/MD.· Ensure identifiable ‘Langham Selling Standards’ are clearly communicated and follow programmes to measure such as 3rd party Mystery calls.· Identify Sales and Marketing training needs and work with LHG HR / Training on appropriate sales training programs to be conducted.· Ensure an annual Succession Planning exercise takes place together with GSO heads to ensure a periodic check on needs & opportunities is kept up-to-date, aspirations of our talent are accounted for and needs of the business are planned for.· Facilitate and approve taskforce needs and requests.· Conduct Pride on all direct reports· Provide feedback on DOSMs and GSO Sales PRIDE and career development needs.· Identify and lead LHG training initiatives in conjunction with the LHG Training academy for all Sales & Marketing executives.Implement Corporate Programs**· Champion and measure the usage, impact and success of Pipeline as well as the additional tools & relationships it may require to be effective.· With the assistance of VP Revenue Management, approve pricing structure of assigned hotels (excl China).· Champion, Monitor and measure the impact if LHG Corporate SME programmes, and other B2B programmes to ensure they are optimized by all hotels and GSO where appropriate· Approve promotions and packages of assigned hotels (excl China).· To assist LHG’s Sales & Marketing functions with the implementation of Langham new initiatives, marketing campaigns, as well as existing Langham programs.· Review, assess and where appropriate rollout new Sales Tools· Recommend, rollout and monitor/measure and effective SIP programme in regions as appropriate.· Stay appraised and changing landscape of distribution (both Retail and Corporate) and ensure we are adapting out approach and our policies where needed to optimize business performance.Establish Key Customer Relationship / Clients Engagement**· Support the GSO teams in developing strategic relationships with executives of top accounts.· External Business Partners – Corporate clients, travel agents, FFP partners and frequent travelers.· Internal Working Partners – Property sales and marketing teams and reservation teams.· Drive and develop initiatives such as Global Closing Day and Langham Luminaries aimed at the motivation of Sales Teams globally· Support GSOs with the co-ordination of TradeShows and Sales Missions.New Hotel Openings**· Support the DOSM, GM and Regional Heads with in market survey and development of pre-opening sales and marketing plan.· For non-China Hotels approve room categorization, pricing philosophy, channel and segment mix, manning guide, website content, pre-opening sales and marketing expenses and development of PR & media plan, together with relevant function heads at LHG S&M.· Participate in the education and engagement of property sales team in key source markets.· Orientation of new DOSMs.· To oversee and coordinate sales and marketing strategies for the successful opening of new hotels, including use of Inntempo by both hotel team and support functions.Communication and Relationships**· Able to build excellent relationship with GMs and obtain solid support from them. Regular communication with GMs to retrieve feedback and plan strategies.· Able to build relationships with GSO’s and DOSM’s to help in the creation of a Langham Sales Culture.· Promote success formally and informally at every opportunity.Requirement.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel and Catering Management from a recognized universityExperience: **· Over 15 years of experience with considerable technical knowledge of operations on sales & marketing and catering in hotel industry best practices is required;· Experience in hotel sales or related experience in travel or hospitality industry, preferably including in larger hotels with larger Meetings Capacity· Possess management principles and practices including budgeting, procurement and supervision;· Extensive experience in multi hotel responsibility, and for major hotel brands, experience of working in both Western and Asian Markets preferred.· Must have excellent track record of leading and driving sales and catering strategy and initiative across all levels in a diverse and multi-cultural environment with a variety of stakeholders where influencing skill is critical for adoption;· Possess strong background in hotel operation of sales activities, catering and conference services with a framework of performance management to align and target goals;· Working experience in Global Sales Office or structured experience of engaging with Global Sales Offices is preferred· Good knowledge of customer requirement and local cultureTerms of employment.Full timeJob Type: Full-timeQuick Apply
