Job Description

Proveta Nutrition is an exciting, fast-paced feed manufacturing company offering a full menu of livestock feed products with balanced nutrition. We are looking for an energetic individual with a positive attitude who will be responsible for our daily shipping-receiving activities.This position will be responsible for providing a positive customer experience to Proveta’s customers and for the general housekeeping, cleanliness, and appearance of the store, warehouse, dock, and yard.KEY TASKSShipping-Receiving

  • Operate forklift to load/unload shipments and move inventory and perform regular inspections on the forklifts as required
  • Pick and prepare outgoing orders (in advance when possible)
  • Load/unload customer and company trucks quickly and efficiently
  • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all products shipped out or received at the Warehouse
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing slips ensuring accuracy in Qty, the weight of bags, and lot number.
  • Accurately pick and stage all outgoing orders and pack appropriately for shipping as well as customers. Ensure the packing slip is complete with number of bags/totes, weight of bags/tote and lot number
  • Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages to the Inventory/Purchasing team. Repair broken bags immediately
  • Practice “First In First Out” stock rotation and advise the Sales team when stale or near expiry
Inventory:
  • Perform inventory cycle counts as requested
  • Label all received inventory
  • Maintain an accurate account of inventory
Sanitation:
  • Maintain a well-organized warehouse which enables the branch to function at high efficiency
  • Maintain safe working conditions and cleanliness in the warehouse (including the dock)
  • Ensure garbage and plastic wrap is removed promptly
  • Ensure debris and spills are cleaned up promptly
  • Ensure pallets are safely stacked
  • Ensure building entrances and customer loading areas are free of snow and ice
  • Monitor and manage the optimum inventory level
  • Take care of errands at the office
Skills/Qualification:
  • Experience driving a forklift
  • Clean Driving record, Class-5 Driving license
  • Attention to detail
