Job Description

About the JobGaraventa Lift is a world- class manufacturer of wheelchair lifts, LU/LA Elevators and Home Elevators. Currently, we are seeking a Material Handler for our afternoon shift.Position Summary:Reporting to the Afternoon Supervisor, the preferred candidate is experienced using warehouse equipment with previous working experience within a warehouse/manufacturer environment with a good understanding of safety procedures with operating warehouse equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material(s) meets quality standards
  • Load and Unload Package(s)
  • Organize stock in the most efficient way using Forklift(s), Pallet(s, Crate(s) etc.
  • Receive and check incoming stock Ship List(s)
  • Wrap orders for Storage and / or Shipping
  • Monitor Inventory Level(s) and arrange for materials when needed
  • Document orders, materials, and any stock movements
  • Dump garbage, recycling and scrap bin(s)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
  • Experience in using warehouse equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jack, Crane)
  • Forklift License an asset
  • Overhead Crance License an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dexterity and attention to details
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Availability to work overtime, as required
  • High School Diploma
