Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Contract (12 months) Painter/Prepper for the Langley Operations Department, Helicopter Repair Center. This position will be based out of the Langley facility, British Columbia and will report to the Manager, Production. This is an exciting opportunity to learn/apply your skills at refinishing Helicopter paint surfaces with unique paint schemes and graphics. Our team is dedicated to the highest quality standards and is regarded as one of the best aircraft paint shops in the industry.

  • Preparing aircraft parts required for refinishing including: sanding, plastic media blasting, cleaning and masking
  • Refinish surfaces by applying primer, paint, stencils and decals
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Maintains equipment, including paint booth, spray guns, air hoses.
  • Documents all work accomplished (a.k.a. sign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Performs work while adhering to the applicable procedures and standards.
  • May perform other duties as required by the department
  • Applying safe work practices and use of proper PPE
  • Adhering to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
  • May perform other duties as required by the department
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma/Technical school or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience as an automotive/aircraft painter preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper paint preparation.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders.
  • Must have the ability to manipulate equipment of all sizes, tools, computer keyboards, and telephones.
  • Must be able to see to disassemble and visually inspect.
  • Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
