Job DescriptionThe Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the supervision and coordinationof production team members engaged in the production of pizza dough in accordance with establishedcompany/industry standards and procedures. They are to be an active participant in the training andcoaching of team members with their job duties, responsibilities, and safety.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES(80%) Production OperationsLeadership Participate in the recruitment of new team members Attend and participate in Leadership and Development training sessions Supervise and lead the production team in the absence of the Production Manager Run the floor including rotating breaks and completing daily dough requirements per size Create training plans and assist in the training of team members Keep the Production Manager informed when team members are not meeting expectations Follow the progressive discipline process according to company policy Ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OHSA, company standards, local, provincial, and federal requirements, as well as ensuring there is an overall positive moral and respect among team members Act as a role model for following all company policies and procedures, including uniform and PPE requirementsReporting Assist in compiling daily key indicators Assist in preparing daily production statistical reports including pounds per man hour, overtime, trays per hour, total trays, and total hours used Assist with the dough library for each day of production and use it as reference for dough concerns Prepare the period summary for the Production Manager and SCC Management regarding progress (Down Time, Staffing, OPRT, Audit, and Safety) as part of development Assist in the performance of test bakes Accurately complete all necessary paperworkProduction Inventory Planning Accurately track inventory of production supply items Order and replenish production inventory items Understand the receiving of production items and scrapping dough in Solo ChainProduction Workflow Enhancements Continually inspect the production area to verify that everything is operating properly Make recommendations to Production Manager on how to improve operational procedures and processes Perform regular Gemba walks(20%) Production Team Member Master all of the operational functions and rotations of the department Work as a production team member and perform tasks necessary to meet production goals including:o Batch setup and mixing of dougho Moving dough balls to dough trayso Tray stacking and shipment preparationo Tray washing Achieve and maintain dough certification Other duties as assigned
