Job DescriptionThe Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the supervision and coordinationof production team members engaged in the production of pizza dough in accordance with establishedcompany/industry standards and procedures. They are to be an active participant in the training andcoaching of team members with their job duties, responsibilities, and safety.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES(80%) Production OperationsLeadershipï‚· Participate in the recruitment of new team membersï‚· Attend and participate in Leadership and Development training sessionsï‚· Supervise and lead the production team in the absence of the Production Managerï‚· Run the floor including rotating breaks and completing daily dough requirements per sizeï‚· Create training plans and assist in the training of team membersï‚· Keep the Production Manager informed when team members are not meeting expectationsï‚· Follow the progressive discipline process according to company policyï‚· Ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with OHSA, company standards, local, provincial, and federal requirements, as well as ensuring there is an overall positive moral and respect among team membersï‚· Act as a role model for following all company policies and procedures, including uniform and PPE requirementsReportingï‚· Assist in compiling daily key indicatorsï‚· Assist in preparing daily production statistical reports including pounds per man hour, overtime, trays per hour, total trays, and total hours usedï‚· Assist with the dough library for each day of production and use it as reference for dough concernsï‚· Prepare the period summary for the Production Manager and SCC Management regarding progress (Down Time, Staffing, OPRT, Audit, and Safety) as part of developmentï‚· Assist in the performance of test bakesï‚· Accurately complete all necessary paperworkProduction Inventory Planningï‚· Accurately track inventory of production supply itemsï‚· Order and replenish production inventory itemsï‚· Understand the receiving of production items and scrapping dough in Solo ChainProduction Workflow Enhancementsï‚· Continually inspect the production area to verify that everything is operating properlyï‚· Make recommendations to Production Manager on how to improve operational procedures and processesï‚· Perform regular Gemba walks(20%) Production Team Memberï‚· Master all of the operational functions and rotations of the departmentï‚· Work as a production team member and perform tasks necessary to meet production goals including:o Batch setup and mixing of dougho Moving dough balls to dough trayso Tray stacking and shipment preparationo Tray washingï‚· Achieve and maintain dough certificationï‚· Other duties as assigned
