We are currently searching for a Senior Business Services Advisor at our Willoughby Envision Financial branch in Langley, BC.Position DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the Senior Business Services Advisor is to provide administrative support to the Business Banking Advisors within their division. The Senior Business Services Advisor is also responsible for the management and growth of an assigned portfolio of business banking members and their associated retail banking and wealth management needs.The Senior Business Services Advisor is expected to proactively seek business banking or referral opportunities that contribute to the achievement of division goals. This is a hybrid role with 75% of time spent providing administrative support to the Business Banking Advisors and the other 25% of the time is spent managing their portfolio. Targets are reflective of this split. The Senior Business Services Advisor role is a development position and, once the required skill and experience level is achieved, will ideally move into an available Senior Financial Advisor or Business Banking Advisor (BBA) role – typically this would take approximately 2 years.AccountabilitiesAdministrative Support: Support Business Banking Advisors with accurate and timely reporting, financial analysis, collections, annual reviews, and general transactional support.Portfolio Management: Manages and grows an existing portfolio of business banking members and their associated personal banking and wealth management needs. Builds long term relationships with existing members and conducts annual reviews on accounts within the assigned portfolio ensuring all terms and conditions of credit are being met. Engages with members, through interviews and other meetings, to identify their current and future financial needs and concerns.Business Development: Develops and executes long term and weekly sales plans to consolidate and retain existing business and attract new business; proactively solicits new business by pursuing, establishing, and maintaining community contacts and networks with external business organizations and individuals to generate new business and/or referrals.Sales and Service Strategy: Achieves or exceeds sales and growth charts by providing ongoing advisory services to business banking members and initiating referrals to product specialist as required.Wealth Management: As a licensed MFDA Advisor, provides wealth and investment solutions.Risk Management: Initiates collection activity in the event of delinquency less than 90 days and recommends appropriate course of action to address significantly delinquent accounts and to maximize recovery of funds.People/Thought LeadershipNo direct supervisory responsibilityQualificationsCollege, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe MFDA License (within 6 months) required 2 years of retail/business/commercial lending or commercial credit experience required Sales experience preferredCompetenciesStrong relationship builder and communicator with a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Results oriented attitude with demonstrated business development techniques Strong organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environmentSkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Word.Risk ManagementDisplays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.If you believe in the same things we do, let’s talk.
