Job Description

Purchasing Manager AWC Water Solutions Ltd. specializes in providing integrated water, wastewater treatment plants and many other specialized industrial packaged solutions. We offer clients advanced in-house engineeringamp; design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions. AWC Water Solutions is seeking a seasoned Purchaser/Lead with a strategic approach to procurement. The ideal candidate should bring extensive experience in leading procurement activities, developing purchasing strategies, and negotiating contracts in a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills and an ability to mentor junior staff are key to this role. Overview: The Supply Chain Manager is a senior role in the supply chain team, focusing on strategic procurement activities, leadership, and process improvement. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement team in strategic purchasing activities.
  • Engage in daily operational activities to support the procurement team and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for reliable and high-quality sourcing.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with key suppliers.
  • Conduct market research to identify optimal products and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business goals.
  • Address complex supplier issues, including warranty and returns.
  • Prepare shipping arrangements and related documentation.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in procurement best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks to ensure continuity and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
  • An ASCM certification is required for this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical equipment, valves, instrumentation and control (I amp;C) systems, and electrical controls is essential.
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain principles and procurement software.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and customer service focused.
