Job Description

SupremeX Envelope7213 Rue CordnerLaSalle, QC, H8N 2J7Tel: 514-595-0555Fax: 514-595-4948hr.eastern@supremex.comThe Junior Auditor will work closely with the Director of compliance and Process Improvement in managing the company #39;s internal controls improvement, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, Obtaining, creating analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, recommending and implementing process improvements and adjustments to control systems, identifying loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings, and performing/planning internal audits.Controls and Compliance:

  • Support divisions/subsidiaries in implementing their documentation of internal control (including building and editing flowcharting and process narratives).
  • Support the review of documentation and control grids of divisions/subsidiaries.
  • Identify and evaluate procedural changes to optimize current processes for greater efficiency and/or effectiveness.
  • Direct the implementation of any approved changes to ensure risk management and governance processes throughout SupremeX #39;s divisions/subsidiaries.
  • Ensure that appropriate, accurate and timely communication is relayed to all individuals directly or indirectly affected by any changes implemented.
  • Identify and monitor key performance results that will confirm quality implementation of controls.
  • Perform audit testing of controls and procedures in place in the divisions/subsidiaries.
  • Writing reports to summarize findings and propose changes.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Accounting with a Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) or in the process of obtaining the CPA designation.
  • Two or three years of relevant experience in industry and/or accounting firm.
  • Knowledge of financial controls.
  • Bilingual in English and French (oral and written).
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel is a must, and intermediate skills required in other MSOffice software.
