The Operations Integration Lead will oversee the implementation of the autonomous operations centre in order to deliver reliable autonomous operations.Role DetailsDevelop and provide leadership to the team:

  • Define and recruit for the Operations Integration and Autonomous Operations Centre team in accordance with the organizational design strategy.
  • Build and lead a dynamic team focused on system and process development, data reliability and analytics and continuous improvement.
  • Create space for the team to be effective in delivering results.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment.
  • Provide clear work objectives and expectations of the performance levels required to achieve business plans and production targets.
  • Ensure that training content is developed in accordance with the current and future needs of the mine including planning, scheduling and Autonomous Operations Centre functions.
  • Ensure the team is focused on delivering autonomous systems that create value.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by setting expectations, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching.
Oversee the development and implementation of the Management Operating System to maximize integration of mine operations:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and engages them as required in the development of the Management Operating System.
  • Develop routine management processes to ensure operational reliability.
  • Assist with developing organization design including RACI’s, SIPOC’s, and key interactions between various stakeholders.
  • Ensure management operating system processes remain continuously integrated with autonomous and traditional operations resulting in safe productivity.
  • Review forecasted asset performance data and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and supervisory departments to plan and direct mine activities in order to deliver the Côté Gold business case.
  • Develop and implement data reporting systems and processes for key process indicators to ensure that all programs are on target.
  • Keep up to date with mining laws and safety regulations and provide support to your team to ensure adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
  • Ensure health & safety, and environmental standards are adhered to. Specifically, work collaboratively with H&S staff to develop and implement Côté Gold Health and Safety Management System.
  • Assist to develop and analyze new working methods in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, reduce the risk of accidents, and improve environmental management and quality of work done.
  • Implement systems within the integrated planning function to meet or exceed safety and production targets while maximizing economic resource recovery; and mitigate impact of plant upsets
  • Ensure all cross functional services provided by other groups are appropriately integrated into the operational plan.
Safely deploy Côté Gold’s Autonomous Operations Center:
  • Lead the implementation of the Autonomous Operations Centre.
  • Supervise staff in the execution of the work plan to deploy an Autonomous Operations Center for Côté Gold.
  • Work collaboratively with our internal team and selected vendors on the deployment of the Autonomous Operations Center including communications infrastructure, autonomous systems and production systems
  • Design, recruit and develop the operating team required for deployment and ongoing operation of the Autonomous Operations Center at Côté Gold.
  • Develop and implement required safe work procedures and trigger action response plans for the Autonomous Operations Center.
  • Ensure data collection systems are in place and effective, perform the root cause analysis of performance problems and develop and implement solutions to optimize performance and improve the useful life or capacity of all assets.
  • Develop and implement work methods that deliver the ramp up of the Autonomous Operations Center.
  • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvement methodologies, process and routines enabling our assets to the safety and productivity targets for our assets.
Assist in the development and achievement of the overall strategy and goals of the mine:
  • Contribute to the management team to set the direction and establish the mid-to-long-term operations and project development plans for the mine production department.
  • Ensure all operational activities are integrated, designed and scheduled to optimally achieve the production objectives as set by the leadership team, following statutory requirements, legislated regulations, policies, work standards, and governance requirements in his/her area of accountability.
  • Provide advice to the Manager, Mine regarding the development and implementation of the mine budget ensuring that these budgets are respected. Seeks solutions to reduce costs.
  • Leverage the team to provide the site with expert knowledge on planning processes and practices.
  • Assist site leadership to identify and implement actions to adopt best practices for mine production.
  • Coordinate mining planning and operations to attain annual and 5-year production targets.
  • Observe and analyze operational performance and provide reports to site teams in order to meet and exceed objectives.
  • Ensures that all health safety programs are properly applied and that needed corrective measures are executed within set deadlines.
