Job Description

Manning Park Resort is a year round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this is a great place to work. Staff housing is available, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.We are presently searching for our next great team member as a General Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

  • New builds and renovations
  • General repairs, working with other maintenance personnel on projects
  • Able to work at heights
  • Some electrical / welding / plumbing / mechanical work
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting/plastering repairs as necessary (repair a faucet or unclog toilets; change out light bulb, repair a switch, test an outlet)
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
  • Able to complete project scope of works for all projects
  • Wiliness to learn generator operations and switch over
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Must be able to do shift work
  • Must have own basic hand tools to perform your daily job
  • Must have general knowledge of operating a skid-steer / snow removal
  • Have general mechanical knowledge
  • Able to work well on a team
  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, timely and able to work well with others
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Minimum of a N drivers license required
  • Good working knowledge of current WorkSafe BC regulations
This is a year round position with a minimum commitment of 1 year.Benefits:
