Job Description

Manning Park Resort is a year-round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this is a great place to work. Staff housing is available, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.We are presently searching for our next talented team member as a Night Patrol & House Person to join our Accommodations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.Night Patrol Responsibilities include:

  • Working during the evening and early morning hours.
  • Patrolling all buildings and cabins (which includes walking around buildings and checking/securing windows and doors).
  • Ensuring there is no behavior that would put guests at risk.
  • Reminding guests about and enforcing all MPR and BC parks rules including quiet time
  • Closing all required areas at the predetermined times.
  • Checking on the ski hill, which includes checking all doors and windows and walking around all buildings.
  • Checking the Maintenance yard, doors, windows on vehicles as well as buildings.
  • Checking staff housing to ensure rules are being adhered to.
  • Providing a detailed report to your manager on a nightly basis.
  • Proper maintenance of vehicle, and reporting any problems that may occur, immediately
  • Filling out a full incident report for any incidents that take place.
  • House Person and House Runner responsibilities as needed
House Person and House Runner Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the lodge, Loon Lagoon (pool & fitness facility), restaurant, banquet rooms, washrooms and hallways are cleaned to a high standard daily.
  • General cleaning of offices, public areas including; vacuuming/sweeping/mopping/dusting/ Sanitizing walkways and stairways, dusting and wiping down high touch surfaces, washing windows, removing garbage.
  • Snow removal from building entrances and general outdoor cleaning and safety duties.
  • Follow all protocols for sanitizing public and private areas.
  • Assist the housekeeping team by stripping rooms, loading up carts & trucks and stocking maids rooms.
  • Assist the accommodations team with general duties around the resort.
  • Deliver additional linens & guest amenities to accommodations.
  • Assist with Housekeeping duties as required.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently
  • Work well unsupervised
  • Handle basic maintenance and cleaning
  • Previous experience as a janitor or custodian is an asset
  • Good physical condition, as position can be physically demanding
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests
  • Minimum Class 5 Drivers License
This is a year-round position with a minimum commitment of 6 MonthsBenefits:
