Job Description

Manning Park Resort is a year round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this is a great place to work.We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Human Resources Coordinator/Recruiter, to join our HR team. Reporting to the People + Culture Manager, and collaborating with the current Senior HR Coordinator, you will help us find great employees and make connections with employment sourcing channels throughout Canada. Preference will be given to someone with an educational background and/or work experience in the HR field.This position does not have a remote or work from home option; it is required to live and work on site at Manning Park Resort!A new rent-free furnished apartment is included, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.Recruiting responsibilities include:

  • Undertake networking and sourcing for potential talent
  • Build relationships with schools and government programs to identify student recruitment opportunities
  • Interview applicants and recruited individuals, and extend job offers where required
  • Attend in-person job fairs in BC (2-3 per year)
  • Work with the People and Culture Manager on seasonal hiring requirements
General Administrative responsibilities include:
  • Support the onboarding & maintenance of employment records for all staff
  • Provide onsite support to Managers and Employees for HR needs
  • Support foreign staff with work permit logistics, visa extensions, and advancing long term status in Canada
  • Manage & submit Worksafe claims and information in a timely manner and liaise with Worksafe where required
  • JHSC Administration & Secretary Duties
  • Work with our current HR Coordinator and Staff Housing Manager to understand systems and policies around staff housing
  • Facilitate arrivals and orientations of incoming staff
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of human resources and/or recruiting experience
  • Technologically savvy with Microsoft Office programs; ATS or HR computer systems experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently, and to make decisions on the fly
  • This individual is a skilled communicator who can represent Manning Park Resort in the community
  • Understanding of current labour market conditions and recruiting practices
