Job Description

Manning Park Resort is a year round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. Staff housing is available, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Lift Operations Supervisor to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

  • Assign daily duties of lift operators.
  • Prepare and submit operation and progress reports for the management team.
  • Train and supervise lift operators in all duties and safety procedures in accordance with WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC standards.
  • Investigate, raise, and submit necessary Technical Safety BC incident forms.
  • General labor including but not limited to snow removal, maintenance, grooming, carrying equipment over 40 lb.
  • Assist and coordinate parking operations in conjunction with the Parking & Grounds team.
  • Oversee daily set up and take down of lifts
  • Establish and maintain health and safety procedures for lift operators.
  • May perform duties of lift operators and maintenance workers where required.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years experience with passenger ropeways preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience; ideally supervising a large team (20 - 30 team members).
  • Lift 150 training course provided by SELKIRK College is an asset .
  • Previous operation of snowmobiles and/or ATVs an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
  • Ski Resort Management certification is considered an asset.
  • OFA Lv3 is considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills; displaying empathy to guests’ needs.
  • Able to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player.
  • Knowledge of Manning Park and surrounding area (or intent to learn)
  • Answering guests’ queries on the resort, giving recommendations for ski runs, and providing general advice.
  • Intermediate Skiing/Snowboarding Skills, must be able to ski/ride green & blue runs.
This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). There is the opportunity for this to become a year-round permanent position for the right candidate.Benefits:
