Job Description

Manning Park Resort is seeking a Marketing Manager, for an exciting new opportunity to live and work in the mountains!The Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of both short and long range marketing plans targeted toward existing and new markets and overseeing the development and support of new and existing special events (indoor and outdoor). As a member of Manning Park Resort’s (MPR) Leadership Team, the Marketing Manager will work collaboratively to support and identify new opportunities to enhance MPR’s overall guest experience.This person will have a big hand in the development of marketing plans, advertising and promotional programs, pricing and sales forecasts to support the achievement of the companys business targets.Responsibilities include:

  • Develops, plans and implements strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
  • Provide analysis and insight to measure and improve the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
  • Oversees and maintains MPR’s website, brand and branding initiatives
  • Participates in the development and support of MPR sales product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
  • Responsible for the management and content development of MPR’s social platforms
  • Represents MPR at trade shows to promote Resort products and activities
  • Analyzes and controls Marketing expenditures for maximum exposure and efficiency
  • Create promotional materials and content for both MPR and third-party publications
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Savvy social media and traditional media skills – photo and video capabilities
  • Proven track record of creative and resourceful approaches to unique business challenges
  • Graphic design capabilities to create content and maintain the MPR brand
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer skills, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, database management, photo editing, etc.
  • Strong ability to multi-task with a results-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of graphic arts software (Adobe, Wordpress) and HTML for websites
  • Knowledge of Google and web-based analytics
  • Possess good judgment and decision making skills
  • Must be flexible and able to react to changing situations
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with thorough follow up skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required with some local travel
