Job Description

Manning Park Resort is a year round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this is a great place to work. Staff housing is available, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.We are presently searching for our next great team member as Parking & Grounds to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

  • Layout and dismantle traffic and parking lot markers and signs.
  • Parking of vehicles in an organized manner to maintain the highest volume possible.
  • Greeting every guest with a smile and friendly comment
  • Cleaning and restocking of Alpine Building facilities and removal of garbage.
  • Removal of snow from Alpine Building entrances/exits, fuel tanks and rooftops.
  • Set up and maintain roof slides.
  • Report and rectify any unsafe acts.
  • Maintain the parking lot on high volume days, i.e. directing cars to empty parking spots.
  • Assist with clearing snow from the parking lot.
  • Measure and report propane and diesel inventories.
  • Assist with Events and other equipment setup and dismantling
  • Early morning shifts will be required as per forecasted snowfall.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Experience with snow removal equipment is an asset (skid steer, grader,...).
  • Ability to operate vehicles in adverse weather conditions.
  • Traffic Control Persons certificate is an asset.
  • OFA Lv3 is considered an asset.
  • Able to follow direction and work unsupervised.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Good physical condition
  • Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing labor intensive duties.
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment and able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). As a seasonal team member you may be presented with opportunities to cross train and support in other departments to meet seasonal demands.Benefits:
