See below for further instructions.Click here to access application formConditions of Employment:Must be legally entitled to work in CanadaRed Seal Journeyperson Plumbing licenceValid class 5 drivers licenceSatisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check & Internal Security CheckMust be able to perform the physical requirements of the position for extended periods of time (e.g. working alone, operating equipment, exposure to varied weather conditions, crawling, climbing ladders & scaffolds, vibrations, noise, dust, lifting up to 25kg, and wearing personal protective equipment).Qualifications:Essential:Experience with preventative maintenance of plumbing and heating systems in a large commercial, industrial and/or institutional facility.Experience completing work as a Journeyman Plumber in accordance with the Manitoba Building, Plumbing, and Gas Codes.Experience using Microsoft Office applications (i.e: Word, Excel, and Outlook).Knowledge of safe work practices, procedures and relevant safety legislation.Ability to organize, plan and prioritize assigned work to meet competing demands.Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.Verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and the general public.Duties:Reporting to the Maintenance Resource Manager, the incumbent is responsible for plumbing maintenance, testing, installation and repair on all aspects of plumbing in government facilities. Duties will include, but not limited to maintenance and repair of domestic water and waste water systems, hot water heating systems and specialized institutional plumbing systems.
