Position Title: Conventional machinist for milling and latheLocation: Montreal/MirabelType of Employment: Full Time/PermanentWorking Pattern: Day Shift WorkRate: 24-27$ per hourSummary: Machine parts related to aircraft wheels and brakes by performing the following duties.1. Performs lathe, milling, and drilling2. Uses a press hydraulic and calibrated measurement device such as micrometer, Vernier, and depth micrometer3. Reads plans4. Follows CMM instructions and procedures5. Must have his own personal toolsLanguage Ability: Ability to read and understand documents in English such as safety rules, instructions, procedures and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Being bilingual is an asset.Experience: At least 4-years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Certificates and Licenses: · Three-year course· Professional diplomaComputer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
