Job Description

Why CompuCom (Overview):The Corporate Compliance Manager will be responsible for the implementation of comprehensive global compliance programs, privacy compliance, mapping of associated processes, and reporting. The Compliance Manager will: create and manage global compliance plans, including regular program audits; perform initial and periodic information privacy risk assessment/analysis, mitigation and remediation; collaborate with the Privacy Officer and Chief Information Security Officer to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs including policies, practices, and acts as a liaison to the information systems department; assess the sufficiency of compliance policies and practices that are managed by and conducted within business units and support functions; provide guidance to associates regarding adherence to the company’s code of ethics and other company policies; determine with the Compliance Officer and Chief Privacy Officer the measures to correct or eliminate deficiencies in the company’s global compliance and privacy compliance program; and serve as the alternate Company Security Officer (aCSO) and support the CSO.Primary Responsibilities: In conjunction various global company departments and business leaders, including, but not limited to Human Resources and Legal:

  • Work with Senior leadership to establish the ethics and compliance competencies to be achieved through education and training of associates, and work with the appropriate team members to create the content for a comprehensive compliance training program.
  • Liaise with colleagues in other countries where the Company operates as necessary to maintain the Company’s global compliance program.
  • Support the business in matters regarding legal and regulatory compliance, and information privacy.
  • Assist in developing and conducting training on regulatory and compliance matters, and information privacy compliance to ensure clients are aware of obligations and associated risk.
  • Provide guidance during development of internal systems used by the business to ensure appropriate compensating controls are in-place for ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining companywide SOPs related to compliance, including monitoring the effectiveness of, and revising as needed, training, systems, processes, methods and procedures within the company effectively to manage risk.
Support the CSO as aCSO. In conjunction various company departments and business leaders, including, but not limited to Human Resources and Legal, manage the end-to-end Canadian security clearance processes for the following types of clearances: General/Triton Level 1 Clearance OPP Full Clearance (5-Year) OPP Renewal (1-Year) Innovapost Clearance PWGC (Reliability - Secret/Federal Clearance
  • ACSO will work with all levels of associates at CompuCom in coordinating, providing guidance and submitting requests for the above types of security clearances, including but not limited to, troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with various levels of Canadian Government officials when requesting and/or troubleshooting issues pertaining to CompuCom associates obtaining various levels of security clearances.
  • Ensure Canada stays ‘in-compliance’ with the Canadian Government with respect to its Application for Renewal Form (AFR), and manage all activities pertaining to this task. This includes liaising with the Canadian Government on behalf of CompuCom and working in conjunction with Legal/Other stakeholders to ensure completeness and timely submission of this form, as required.
  • Maintain/update ‘Security Clearance Tracker’ form on a current basis, to ensure CompuCom Records are up-to-date and current.
  • Manage the company’s Code of Ethical Behavior and ensure enforcement of the Code on a consistent basis across the Company.
  • Manage and report on global programs and activities of the Compliance Department.
  • Monitor and track ongoing costs and provide a cost analysis of all applicable global compliance and privacy programs.
  • Maintain an ongoing record of ethics matters and establish a readily accessible body of policy interpretations regarding ethics to ensure that advice and opinions are preserved for future reference and guidance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience. Area of Study: Legal Studies, Ethics & Compliance preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in related field
  • Compliance
  • Special Certifications: CIPP, CIPM, CCEP
  • Professional level spoken and written English and French
  • Citizen of Canada with eligibility to obtain required security clearance(s) to perform as alternate CSO
