Job Description

L3 Technologies MAS, located in Mirabel (QC), is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies, Inc.As Method Agent, Tooling at L3 MAS you will:

  • Using engineering specifications and drawings, the method’s tooling agent is responsible for designing metal or composite material tools for the repair or modification of aircraft structures and the manufacture of aircraft parts. In addition, he / she is responsible for responding quickly to various requests for manufacturing / modifying cutting tools from production technicians.
  • He may also be responsible for designing assembly and / or repair tools for parts or aircraft structure.
Essential Functions:
  • write the work instructions for the manufacture, modifications or repairs required on the tools, while respecting the established writing standards and internal regulations;
  • Develop and prepare tooling concepts and tool prototypes for CATIA V5 or V6 for component manufacturing or repair deployment;
  • undertake research and analysis of technical information;
  • evaluate the feasibility and estimate the work that is proposed;
  • determine the optimal sequences of operations aimed at achieving the desired objective, while respecting industry standards;
  • write work instructions, in various forms, while respecting established writing standards;
  • prepare quotations for various projects;
  • identify the materials and tools needed to carry out the work he / she has identified;
  • participate in multidisciplinary groups dedicated to the development of various projects;
  • Liaise between production and engineering departments to ensure consistent improvement in methodology and efficiency of production, quality and cost;
  • Provide technical advice to internal and external clients.
