Join us.AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Engineer to be located in one of our GTHA offices (Markham, Mississauga, Whitby, Kitchener, ON). This is a Full-time role.This position is ideally suited to an intermediate engineer. This position will primarily shadow acting project managers in the area of environmental investigations and remediation.Additionally, there are opportunities for candidates who would like to continue to build their technical background to have access to training and careers opportunities if of interest.

• Remediation design projects: Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessment (scheduling, procurement, execution, cost control). Both office and field duties.
• Field activities planning, coordination, administration, and monitoring, including contract close out and reporting
• Remedial option assessment, implementation, system operation and maintenance.
• Preparation of Remedial Actions Plans, Environmental Risk Assessments, Remediation projects
• Technical writing and preparing technical documents, such as reports.
• May oversee the work of less experienced scientists.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

• Bachelor #39;s Degree in a relevant discipline - Civil, Environmental, etc.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario (or eligible for licensing)
• 2+ years of experience in Environmental Remediation including Phase I and II ESA and soil and groundwater remediation technologies.
• Valid driver #39;s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years project management experience in environmental remediation including drilling, large scale excavations and other remedial field activities.
• Experience with remediation contractors and construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity, work within multi-disciplinary teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships.
• Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
