Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYEssential Duties and Responsibilities ·Daily/weekly yield analysis for cutting plants, i.e. turkey, chicken and msm·Create and maintain sales reporting/budgets·Create weekly financial forecasts

  • Participate in budget preparations and analysis
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of existing reporting systems
  • Assist in month end and year end closings, specifically, analyzing production expense accounts
  • Own the Cap Ex process from tracking to the return analysis
  • Liaise with business partners across facilities ensuring effective communication channels with the Finance division
  • Create/assist with new and supplemental reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving
  • Manage the Real Estate portfolio
  • The finance representative of the systems conversion team
  • Maintain the Blue Box/RPRA reporting requirements
  • Oversee the accounts/reporting of the furniture manufacturing division
  • Other duties as required
Requirements·Minimum 3 years’ experience with financial and operational metrics/data preferably in a meat processing environment.·Experienced with a family owned and operated business is a definite asset.·Experience with a rapidly growing organization and the challenges that are associated with growth is a definite asset.·Career driven growth in the finance department.
  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail is a given.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong business partnering skills across multiple facilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize workload accordingly.
  • Experienced in streamlining processes.
  • Ability to prepare management reports from data bases and financial modelling.
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel i.e. pivot tables, v lookups, sum if/then formulas, customized ERP systemamp; etc.
· Involved in system conversions, i.e., ERP systems.
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
  • Must be flexible in attitude and approach as business conditions change.
  • University or College degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
  • Occasional travel to the main processing facility in Listowel Ontario.
  • Familiar in Monday.com and Sales Force would be beneficial.
  • This is an in-office position.
