Job Description

Pricing Coordinator/Quote Specialist/Inside Sales Support CoordinatorWe are looking for skilled individuals with 2-4 years of verified experience in the pricing or operations of a Canadian freight forwarding company. Cargo-wise experience is a definite asset. Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate shipping quotations for customers and agents in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly and semi-monthly updates for customers as required.
  • Follow up with customers, and agents, negotiate rates, and close deals.
  • Contact existing or new, or lost customers daily as per KPI. Build and maintain the relationship with customers.
  • Assist sales and operations team with information on current rates.
  • Maintain current information in Cargo Wise up to date.
  • Other admin. functions for the dept. as required.
Key requirements:
  • Knowledge of freight operation, documentation, products, operations, security, and equipment.
  • Understanding of freight tariffs, rates, and freight quotes received from carriers and other logistics provided.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure, consistently meeting deadlines.
Essential Criteria:
  • Superior knowledge of the Logistics industry and the key players within the industry nationally and globally.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage a team-based approach.
  • A logical mind with the capacity to overcome difficult problems creatively.
  • Good organizational skills together with the ability to prioritize functions.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Recognize how to maximize profits.
