That #39;s what #LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented MEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly) - Manufacturing Specialist to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business in Mississauga, ON. This is an on site positon.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:- Designs, improves, and installs integrated manufacturing or administrative systems which use people, materials, information, equipment, and energy.- Leads work studies for new and current production lines.- Leads standard work methods for new and current production lines.- Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.- Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.- Maintains the application of Cummins standards and develops manufacturing standards.- Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.- Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.- Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.- Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will need the following skills:- Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.- Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.- Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.- Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.- Line Balancing - Evaluates work activities performed by individuals or machines to identify opportunities to optimize operating time and distributing of the work content to meet the changes in customer demands while continuing to optimize manufacturing processes.- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.- Work Measurement - Quantifies and evaluates the elements of work that make up a process by breaking it down into detailed steps to identify and reduce waste, and redistribute work content to optimize process flows.- Workstation Design - Designs operator work stations that are safe, healthy, and ergonomic while accounting for cost, quality, and delivery to contribute to an efficient work environment.- Process Documentation - Produces written manufacturing procedures in proper sequence which are followed correctly by all approved stakeholders to establish continuity in processes and standardization.- Process Layout - Creates and/or modifies an optimized manufacturing process by incorporating knowledge of equipment, human interfaces, sequences of production steps, and facilities requirements in order to reduce process time and waste.- Process Simulation - Develops virtual models of processes using available tools and quantitative analyses techniques to optimize these processes and make effective business decisions.Education, Licenses, Certifications- College, university, or equivalent degree required.- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Experience- Intermediate level relevant work experience required.- This position requires a very specific set of skills and experience in combination with Industrial Engineering background.- Experience in chemical/petrochemical processes.- Experience in pharmaceutical/cosmetics.- Knowledge in adhesives and coatings.- Familiar with laboratory work and reactors.- Familiar with clean room environment (Pharmaceutical/Cosmetics)- Experience in chemical process development.Job MANUFACTURINGPrimary Location Canada-Ontario-Mississauga-Canada, ON, Mississauga, Hydrogenics AdmiralJob Type Experienced - Exempt / OfficeRecruitment Job Type Exempt - ExperiencedJob Posting Oct 16, 2023, 1:54:52 PMUnposting Date OngoingOrganization Accelera BusinessRole Category Hybrid - Potential for Partial RemoteRelocation Package IneligibleReq ID: 23000A24
