This Payroll Administrative Analyst opportunity is located in Mississauga, Ontario and is a long-term contract / contract / contract / contract / temporary role. Your responsibilities - Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, ensure company compliance - Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads - Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary - Help payroll manage all internal and external audits - Manage payroll information requests and questions - Establish payroll liabilities after calculating all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments - Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities - Perform any other duties that arise in the course of normal business operations - Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records - Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part of managing payroll records - Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential - Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation - Manage and review, including verify, source documents - Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Certified Payroll detail oriented will be given preference - Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Prior experience working with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Prior experience using accounting software - Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills - Adeptness in Microsoft Excel - Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Payroll - Expertise in Full Cycle Payroll - Strong familiarity with payroll for under 100 employees - Process Biweekly Payroll experience preferred - Experience with UKG Pro - Knowledge of internal controls - Experience with high volume data entry - 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll - Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular Robert Half is the world #39;s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
