Job Description

Full-Time Positions37.5 hours/ weekWork Arrangement: On-sitePosition Summary: ErinoakKids is seeking enthusiastic individuals to fill Speech-Language Pathology positions at our sites in Brampton, Oakville, and Mississauga.. The Speech-Language Pathologist is part of a team that supports the prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of communication, play, speech, language and feeding challenges within our clients. New grads welcome! We welcome applicants in their initial practice period and offer ongoing training and mentoring opportunities!Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessment, goal setting and intervention for children who present with a broad range of communication disorders.
  • Manage an assigned case load and contribute to the quality of care to clients through a family-centered approach and adherence to the professional standards of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Support client families by providing individual and group training and resources to parents that will support the development of communication skills at home.
  • Maintain regular contact with client families and keep them informed of treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with assigned support personnel (Speech-Language Therapy Assistants) and provide appropriate clinical supervision
Qualifications:
  • Master #39;s degree in Speech Language Pathology;
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
  • Experience with clinical pediatric population is preferred;
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO);
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting;
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
