Job Description

Robert Goreamp; Associates has a great opportunity for a full- time accountant with public practice experience to join our firm’s Mississauga office.   • Responsible for execution of engagements with minimal supervision required;
  • Monitor and update engagement plans and budgets;
  • Prepare client files – primarily compilation engagements
  • Prepare personal and corporate tax and information returns
  • Perform various analyses, reports, and account reconciliations
  • Correspondence and phone follow up with CRA on behalf of clients
  • Assist with audit and review engagements, agreed upon procedures engagements, and compliance reviews
  • Other related duties as assigned
RequirementsAbout You
  • Experienced accounting technician with a minimum of two years’ experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to work independently, multi-task, manage, and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent drive and keen desire to understand the clients #39; business and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Thorough, with attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to maintain high level of enthusiasm, and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
  • Comfortable on the phone;
  • Able to work hard to meet demands and deadlines at key times of pressure, and take on challenges;
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word and Excel), CaseWare, CaseView and Profile (preferred) or TaxPrep, QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online. Jazz-it experience helpful.
