This role develops the structures, systems, and governance to ensure all employees are trained and have the required skill to operate their roles safely. The role provides advice and guidance on risk and safety of new equipment, systems, processes, ensures health and safety procedures are current.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the development and implementation of effective health and safety policies and strategies.â–ª Ensure that facilities, company safety procedures and behaviours comply to company health and safety standards and local legislation.â–ª Cooperate with department leaders in the development of policies and procedures for health and safety.â–ª Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure maximum safety and operational efficiency.â–ª Ensures the site LDI Action register is current, and action plans and a prevention program to control all risks identified on the site. â–ª Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions to eliminate any recurrence.â–ª Ensure the follow-up of the Occupational Health program with the people and institutions concerned.â–ª Seek to minimize the risk of loss.â–ª Provides technical guidance to incident investigations.â–ª Raise awareness among staff about risk prevention. Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and organize risk reduction working groups.â–ª Managing rectification of non-compliance found during audits.Assumes responsibility for the operational management of safety.â–ª Oversee security screenings. Ensure that information is collected and analyzed in accordance with established procedures and related legal requirements.â–ª Oversee the physical security of all facilities. Evaluate the effectiveness of alarm systems and other security devices. Ensure that safety equipment effectively protects employees, assets, and customers.â–ª Supervise and provide health and safety training. Assess training needs and develop or lead programs to meet those needs. Ensure compliance with the Company #39;s policies and regulations.â–ª Prepare and follow up on the various security audits according to the schedule.â–ª Supervise tasks related to the duties of the preventionist.â–ª Ensure the certification of subcontractors and visitors in terms of health and safety and ensure training in the reception of the latter.â–ª Attend training sessions to update technical and managerial knowledge as needed.Assumes responsibility for related duties as required.â–ª Complete assigned special projects.â–ª Perform all other related tasks.QUALIFICATIONSUniversity degree related to the field of Healthamp; Safety or equivalent relevant experience.EXPERIENCEâ–ª Knowledge of provincial, federal, and local regulations.â–ª Analytical and problem-solving skills.â–ª Autonomy and organization.â–ª Ability to communicate, fluent in French and with various computer applications.APPLYPlease submit your CV and application details by email.
