Proficiency in both French and English is a crucial requirement for this position.Position: Shipping OfficerLocation: Mount Laurie, Quebec CanadaAbout the Role:Position Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Shipping Officer to join our team in Mount Laurie, Quebec. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in French and English, capable of working under pressure, and able to manage stress effectively. The Shipping Officer will oversee inventory management for both inbound and outbound materials, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the system inventory.Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
    • Ensure accurate inventory records and timely updates in the system.
    • Collaborate with team members to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Daily Operations:
    • Attend daily meetings with the sales team to report on previous day #39;s shipments, current day #39;s activities, and upcoming shipments.
    • Communicate effectively with the manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Input product information into the system inventory accurately and efficiently.
    • Utilize Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the manager and other team members to achieve common goals.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Leadership and Initiative:
    • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and take initiative in resolving issues.
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
  • Strong sense of initiative and leadership.
  • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in inventory management or shipping/logistics is an asset.
