Job Description

DevOps SRE Specialist (Intermediate) As a DevOps SRE Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting and evolving our software factory, enabling teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our CI/CD pipelines and tools. Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Support and Maintenance:
    • Ensure the reliability and availability of our software factory tools. (Jenkins, Git, Nexus, SonarQube, etc.)
    • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot issues, implementing timely solutions.
    • Adhere to strict security standards and compliance regulations.
    • Collaborate with global teams to provide 24/7 support coverage.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Optimization:
    • Assist development teams in adopting best practices for CI/CD pipelines.
    • Automate tasks and processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
    • Implement innovative solutions to improve deployment speed and reliability.
  • Platform Innovation and Evolution:
    • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance our software factory.
    • Conduct proof-of-concepts to validate emerging technologies.
    • Contribute to the modernization of our platform on Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration:
    • Document processes and best practices to improve knowledge sharing.
    • Mentor team members and provide guidance on CI/CD tools and methodologies.
    • Actively participate in the DevOps community and share insights with peers.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong proficiency in Linux, Bash, Python, Jenkins, Git, and monitoring tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in development or administration of software factory tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
  • Passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Familiarity with build tools (Maven, MSBuild, npm) and artifact repositories. (Nexus, Artifactory)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages. (PowerShell, Python)
Languages: French, English.Required: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with US-based colleagues and partners.Hybrid Role:While we offer a flexible work arrangement, this role requires a 50% on-site commitment at our Montreal office.
