Job Description

As a Compliance Analyst - Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization #39;s integrity by developing and maintaining robust anti-money laundering (AML) systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex business requirements, design innovative technical solutions, and implement efficient coding practices.Key Responsibilities:

  • Python Development:
    • Write, test, and deploy high-quality Python code for AML systems.
    • Optimize database queries and performance tuning.
    • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • AML Systems:
    • Develop and maintain AML systems to detect and prevent financial crime.
    • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance AML capabilities.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and anomalies.
    • Utilize data mining techniques to extract valuable insights.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including compliance officers, risk managers, and IT professionals.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s or Master #39;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Python programming
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies (MS SQL, Oracle)
  • 3+ years of experience in Java programming
  • Experience with Big Data and cloud database technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of risk and compliance principles in the financial industry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with XML technologies, statistics, and AML systems
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques
Languages: French, English.Required: Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with US-based colleagues and partners.Hybrid Role:While we offer a flexible work arrangement, this role requires a 50% on-site commitment at our Montreal office.
