Bilingual Medical Claims Assistant – 100 % RemoteRemote opportunity in the insurance sector supporting mortgage creditor claims. Responsibilities include intake calls, medical requests, eligibility review, and client communication. Requires bilingual English/French skills, claims adjudication experience, and strong attention to detail.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary of $22.• 4-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.• Enjoy the flexibility of remote work.Responsibilities:• Conduct intake calls with claimants and update case records.• Review claim forms and documents for completeness and accuracy.• Request and process medical information.• Determine initial coverage eligibility and send communications to claimants.• Summarize employment and lender documentation.• Prepare written correspondence for additional information or claim decisions.• Ensure quality, cost-effective adjudication within defined standards.• Collaborate with the manager to meet team goals.• Perform additional reporting and administrative tasks as required.What you will need to succeed:• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred or equivalent work experience.• Bilingual in English and French to interact with claimants, mortgage lenders, and medical providers in both languages, ensuring accurate and timely claims processing for clients in Quebec and other regions.• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders.• Previous experience in adjudicating life and/or disability claims within the insurance industry.• Strong knowledge of medical conditions and terminology to interpret supporting documentation.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 to efficiently manage and update claim records.• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills for reviewing claim forms, receipts, and related documents.• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.• Proven capacity to handle a high volume of claims, prioritize competing tasks, and meet strict deadlines.• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to respond professionally in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations.• Strong interpersonal skills to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.• Adaptability to quickly adjust to process changes and evolving business requirements.Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2504511) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
