Equipment OperatorContract Position: 4+ Months, with possibility for future winter road employment contracts.Wages: $27.00 – 37.00/hrWaltco Construction is looking for experienced equipment operators, to help support our contract labour requirements, for the DeBeers – Victor Mine, Moosonee Yard Operations.The Moosonee Yard Operations is the hub for all inbound and outbound freight to the DeBeers Victor Mine site, via winter ice road. Equipment operators are required for tractor trailer freight offloading, freight handling in the yard, and loading of freight onto railcar for shipment by rail.The work location and operations are based in the Town of Moosonee, at the DeBeers and Ontario Northland Rail Yard facility. Accommodations and daily meal allowances are provided, as well as travel to/from Moosonee. Positions will be on a rotational basis, with a possibility for day and night shift requirements, during peak operations.Equipment onsite for operations is a 25Ton Hyster Forklift, Hyster C-Can Handler, Manlifts, CAT 938M Loader and other miscellaneous equipment.Qualifications:· Minimum 3 years experience in equipment operation.· Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper operation.· Unload, stage, and load freight as required, in a timely manner.· Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment.· Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, ContractContract length: 4 monthsSalary: $27.00-$37.00 per hourCOVID-19 considerations:COVID-19 protocols in placeWork Location: On the roadExpected start date: 2022-12-01Quick Apply
