Four Winds Public School is a new dual track Middle School located in Morinville and home to 430 students in grades 5 to 9. Students at Four Winds are engaged through inquiry learning. Thought provoking questioning and guiding frameworks help students engage with, understand and solve problems creatively and critically. The school offers many exciting programs including French Immersion, Sport for Life, STEAM Academy, Dance Academy and Band. The school’s design is to enable students to connect with nature through an outdoor classroom, a learning garden and an Amphitheatre.FTE: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Monday to Friday; Full-Time TemporaryInitial Assignment: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an elementary classroom to support students with complex social, emotional and behavioral skills.Qualifications & Experience: Teacher’s Aid Certificate/Diploma is required; experience working with Autistic children is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
