Sturgeon County is looking for an Information Technology Summer Student (also referred to as Information Technology Analyst with Service Canada) to assist with system monitoring and maintenance, respond to hardware and software issues reported to the Service Desk, keep accurate records of daily activities, create and maintain user self-help and orientation documentation. Complete special projects and/or provide relief for other Information Services positions and duties.This position is partly funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years. If youre passionate about information technology and are eager to grow your professional experience in a dynamic work environment, we encourage you to apply!Job DutiesAssist with system monitoring and maintenance of computer hardware, the Active Directory, and network services.Respond to hardware and software issues which include the configuration of workstations, laptops, and printers.Create and maintain user self-help and orientation documentation.Keep accurate recordkeeping for the Information Services Department.Complete special projects and/or provide relief for other Information Services positions and duties.Adhere to applicable responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the Sturgeon County Health and Safety Management System.Job Qualifications and SkillsPriority will be given to those who have completed a High School Diploma.Ability to provide exceptional internal and external customer service in a consistent and professional manner.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience working both independently and in group settings.Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Valid Alberta Class Five driver’s license is required.Job Type: Full-timeQuick Apply
