Job Description

Morinville Community Library is looking for an outgoing, efficient, organized and self-motivated individual to join our fantastic team.Terms of Employment

  • Contract position ending December 16, 2022, 25 hours per week, shift work, days, evenings and some weekends, must be flexible.
Job Requirements
  • Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree
  • Library experience an asset

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills in English
  • Motivated, creative and a hands-on problem solver
  • Strong research skills
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assessing the collection to ensure that it responds to the needs of the community, providing Management with results and recommendations
  • Circulation, reference services, maintaining patron files, processing payments of fines and fees
  • Supporting administration with various duties and projects
  • Other duties as required
Other Requirements
  • Ability to lift & carry up to 25 lbs. and to perform repeated hand & arm movements
  • Ability to multitask & work in a fast paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation
