Sturgeon County is recruiting for a Marketing and Campaign specialist to join our team! As a member of the Corporate Communications department, this role will work alongside a team of talented communications professionals but also be embedded with Economic Development, focused on marketing and campaign activities that directly support and enhance Sturgeon Countys investment attraction, business retention and expansion priorities.What we need most, is someone that is strategically driven but not afraid to get their hands dirty in SEO, ad copy, analytics, investor campaigns (digital and print), collateral creation (copy and digital graphic design), and digital marketing among other activities. This position will be working with the Economic Development Services team to grow and attract a world of business opportunities at Sturgeon Countys doorstep.Theres some exciting work underway thats both challenging and rewarding, are you interested We look forward to hearing from you!Position Overview: The Marketing and Campaign Specialist reports to the Manager, Corporate Communications and serve as an active team member in the Corporate Communications Department. The position serves as a trusted Communications Business Partner to implement the strategic goals, objectives and tactics of the Economic Development Department. The Economic Development Services department will be the primary client that this role supports to attract, retain, and expand business opportunities for Sturgeon County.Job Duties: Focus on targeting business and investor audiences both domestically and internationally by developing creative media plans and executional tools to support regional, national and international marketing efforts of the department.Provides consistent and client-centric communications services and supports.Act as a liaison between other communications staff to ensure consistent brand identity for Sturgeon County.Determine marketing plans or campaigns that aim to achieve the goals and targets set forth in the Economic Development Department plans, strategies, implementation plans and tactics.Create, coordinate and deliver projects of urgent nature to Economic Development department such as site selection packages, advertorial, editorial, media requests, releases, website updates and speaking notes.Lead the digital, print, and experiential marketing campaigns supporting Business Attraction, Retention and Expansion efforts of Economic Development.Lead the creation and maintenance of Sturgeon County collateral and marketing materials including, but not limited to, externally created publications, site selection packages and communications tools related to Business Attraction, Retention and Expansion.Maintain Economic Development maps, website, social media presence, and campaigns.Develop business cases for innovative marketing activities, which include the implementation plan, cost analysis, intended objectives, targets, monitoring and evaluation.Adhere to applicable responsibilities and accountabilities as outlined in the Sturgeon County Health and Safety Management System.Job Skills: Ability to create and communicate marketing and campaign plans, tactics, status updates, milestones, and strategy.Strong ability to collaborate while effectively planning, coordinating, and delivering projects and campaigns on time and within budget.Ability to identify and define Economic Development advertising objectives in collaboration with the Corporate Communications Department activities that align with the goals of the organization.Ability to engage with various audiences including Department staff, cross divisional teams, Leadership team and Council.Job Qualifications: Ability to provide and maintain a home-based office as a condition of employment, with the ability to work from the Sturgeon County office. Municipal travel may be required from time to time.5+ years experience in marketing, campaign development and execution, brand marketing, graphic design, in field marketing, creating marketing materials or creativecollateral. Possesses a bachelor’s degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications or a related field. A Combination of experience and education will be considered.Prior marketing or campaign experience in municipal setting and/or Economic Development is preferred.Proven track record in collaborating within cross functional teams.Proficiency with data analysis and narrative based creative campaigns.Experience developing strategic communications and tactical marketing plans to support the strategy of an organization.Expert in adobe creative suite and Microsoft office suite.Knowledge of and exposure to creative agencies and translation agencies.Innovative and solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills.Strong work ethic, self-motivated and able to work in a team setting or independently.
